Via Carpenter is the founder and owner of Via's Cookies, a company making GF/V and glutenous cookies. She donates 5% of her profits to struggling college students, blending sweet treats with social justice. Her cookies are a recipe she created at 14 to run for class president and sell for money. She triumphed as the winner over a kid who had called her racist names and restarted the biz in college after seeing first-hand the struggles that low-income, first-gen, BIPOC and Queer students faced. She worked three jobs to get by while pursuing her degree and started 'Via's Cookies' with a give-back component because she was living the struggle. These cookies have been a stepping stone through Via's life and now serve that purpose for others.
