Raisify is a platform created to democratize access to capital for startups and businesses through civic engagement. Each competition includes 7 or more founders pitching their businesses. There's is a live competition hosted by organizations and groups. The audience (fans) vote with their dollars for the pitches they favor. If you are a member of Raisify you get to watch and vote for any of the pitches you favor across multiple competitions.

Click on a competition. View the pitch videos. You can click on suggested amounts or enter the amount you would like to donate to that pitch. You can vote for more than one pitch at a time by clicking suggested donations or entering multiple donations. Click "donate" then continue to the checkout process. After you checkout you can leave encouraging comments under each pitch you voted for. You must be 18 or older to vote.

To maintain the highest level of security Raisify does require that you join in order to vote. Creating fake accounts will result in disqualification.

Yes! In order to vote for your favorite pitch donate to their campaign. Each transaction of $5 or more is considered a vote. You can donate more than $5, but your first transaction of $5 or more will be what counts as your vote. The Black Girl Ventures Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. At the moment the lowest donation amount is $5 for a vote.

You can donate as many times as you like to as many founders as you like. You are only allowed one vote. Competitors are not allowed to vote for themselves. This means that the amount of their grant will increase according to your donations, however, there is only one vote per person. A vote is the first donation you make of $5 or more. If using the same credit card (owned by one person) to make multiple donations only the first donation will count as a vote regardless of the Raisify account used. Creating fake accounts will result in disqualification.

Standard Voting: Every donation of $5 or more = 1 vote. Quality Vote Algorithm (QVA) For some of our competitions there are larger prize opportunities on the line. This calls for us to use a different voting algorithm to ensure that the competition is fair. When the grant for the first place winner is $20K or more we activate the Quality Vote Algorithm (QVA). QVA competitions calculate the votes by dividing the total amount raised by the founder by the number of people who voted for that founder. This way a person can't game the system by getting lots of $5 votes just to get to the $20K prize.

The voting is typically open for 7 days. When the voting closes the winner's card will change color and float to the top of the screen. However, there is a 7 day audit period to validate votes. Valid votes are votes that don't denote fraud, fake accounts, and/or multiple use of one credit card across multiple accounts in an attempt to gain more than one vote. The organizing entity will also announce the winners on their social media.

Don't fret! Check your SPAM. If using gmail check your SPAM and promotions folders. If you still can't find it email admin@raisify.co.

Check the spelling of all entries. Check the card number being used. Email admin@raisify.co with a description of the error and a screenshot if possible. It is best to describe what you were doing when the error happened so that we can trouble shoot more efficiently. Please allow 48-72 hours for a response.

Competitors do not get access to donor names, emails, individual donation amounts, or other information outside of the comments that donors make under their pitches. All card processing is handled by Stripe. BGV does not have access to card information. Stripe is a well-known secure payment processor.
