Standard Voting: Every donation of $5 or more = 1 vote. Quality Vote Algorithm (QVA) For some of our competitions there are larger prize opportunities on the line. This calls for us to use a different voting algorithm to ensure that the competition is fair. When the grant for the first place winner is $20K or more we activate the Quality Vote Algorithm (QVA). QVA competitions calculate the votes by dividing the total amount raised by the founder by the number of people who voted for that founder. This way a person can't game the system by getting lots of $5 votes just to get to the $20K prize.
The voting is typically open for 7 days. When the voting closes the winner's card will change color and float to the top of the screen. The organizing entity will also announce the winners on their social media.
