After losing my father, I watched my mother and grandmother restore Detroit homes and create stability for families, single mothers, and returning citizens. Growing up, I sat beside my grandmother watching HGTV and picking out materials from Lowe's and Home Depot, learning that housing is about more than property—it's dignity and opportunity. Years later, while working inside Detroit properties myself, I discovered that many housing challenges aren't caused by a lack of resources—they're caused by a lack of coordination.
