I am physician and fashion enthusiast, I founded ETNICITI with my sister Chioma, to showcase the beauty of African prints in the form beautiful and unique accessories (handbags, bangles, earrings) and provide fashion forward women a way to enhance their style while empowering the crafters who produce them in Africa. From our online store, to trunk shows and vending events, our customers have shown they trust the quality and style of our fabulous pieces!

Jalaal Hayes

As a North Philadelphia native, Dr. Jalaal A. Hayes was lauded as the youngest Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from Delaware State University and America in December 2015 and 2016 respectively. In March 2017, Dr. Hayes was granted a patent based on his research at the university. In 2019, he was a keynote speaker at the International Conference on Innovative Applied Energy held at the University of Oxford. In 2020, he started Elyte Energy to commercialize the patent for the off-shore applications and make broader impacts for underserved communities who are interested in the clean energy and sustainability markets.

I'm a 3x founder, mother, and Latina CEO. I'm a seasoned entrepreneur and Diabetes advocate with a passion for patient empowerment. My most recent entrepreneurial venture began when two of my sons were diagnosed with type one diabetes. As CEO and founder of DiaM Life, I work to connect, support, and empower people with diabetes to live longer, happier, healthier, and safer lives. Prior to DiaM, I had started my own consulting firm working with companies around the world. From travel, tourism, luxury, and real estate companies. To work with nonprofits and sustainable development organizations such as USAID, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, and several International Ministries of Government.
